2014, to another wonderful year

HAPPY NEW YEAR! (:

It’s been a while, but I thought we should catch up ❤ How’s 2014 treating everyone so far? Good? Fantastic?

For me, I knew this would be the year filled with challenges and opportunities but I am surprised how overwhelmed I’m already feeling. In case you did not know, I will be graduating from University in less than four months. This means that I’m about to move to the next chapter of my life, which I am so excited but awfully nervous as well.

Why?

For one, I am still deciding on what I’m going to write next. This can only be determined if I can find a career that’s right for me. However, I have found a career that I am passionate about, but it all depends on whether or not I can sell myself well aka searching for a new job is extremely stressful. Then there’s an issue of where I’ll be; I don’t want to restrict myself so I am willing to be in Toronto, Vancouver, Los Angeles, New York, WHO KNOWS. Furthermore, because I don’t know – I’m worried about the possibility of continuing this agonizing long distance between my boyfriend and I.

So, how should one stay positive? I have thought about it and I realized that, our worry-filled thoughts could negatively impact our choices and decisions. Therefore, it is important to do whatever you can to really soak in the lovelier aspects of your life.

1. Be Strong

It is important to have faith in yourself because once you do; good things will come into your life. When you want something bad enough, let that drive push you to make it happen. Giving up, running away, or second guessing yourself will never achieve what you seek. Sooner or later, it will catch up to you and you’ll regret all that could have happened.

Keyword: Could’ve

Never let life impede on your ability to manifest your dreams, especially people. Dig deeper into your dreams, deeper into yourself, and believe that anything is possible. Trust yourself. With that mentality, anything and everything is possible. Even when time gets tough, remind yourself that no pain comes without a purpose. Learn from your mistakes and move on (:

2. Take Action

You know that without taking action, nothing will come true. Success does not happen overnight, you have to work for it; you have to bring about the results. Good things take time! Have patience (: This is not 2013, #YOLO is not the answer. It is important to live in the moment, but have dreams and hopes too; something to work towards. I believe that life is more fulfilling when we are productive. If we have nothing to work towards, then we tend to feel hopeless and/or useless.

3. Complain Less

It is true; those who complain the most will accomplish the least. It is okay to worry every now and then but it is important to not dwell on your mistakes or the past. Thinking positively will elevate your mood, which leads to accomplishments and productivity.

Overall, I hope this got you thinking :’) Let me know how you stay positive!

There is no such thing as an ending. This is just the beginning,

  1. Hey Linda, you are such an inspirational character, you know that? Reading this has definitely lifted up my mood and it has given me the courage to try to move on rather than dwelling on my mistakes or what I “could’ve done”. Thankyou heaps 🙂
